It also marks the 10th year of Dead & Company and my 10th year of being a dead head.

Little did I know what journey the music would take me down when I purchased a vehicle that had Sirius and the Grateful Dead channel. I was hooked. 2016 I reconnected with my cousin who had been on Panic tour for a couple of years and he wanted to introduce me to live music by taking me to Suwannee Hulaween that year but he passed away before he was able to do so.

I was miracled NYE 2016 WSP tickets for Bridgestone arena and went. I proceeded to see WSP like 20 times over the course of the next year including red rocks and st auggie runs. I also made it my personal mission to go to hulaween in 2017. And I made it happen.

Since then I’ve seen dead n co, WSP, string cheese, Billy strings and pigeons a collectively 150+ times at least. Plus others along the way.

These bands, the places I’ve been to, people I’ve met, and strangers I’ve hugged along the way have shaped my life and my existence in a way that can’t be put into words.

I drank the koolaid, got on the bus, and it was the best damn thing to ever happen to a misfit like me.

Point of the story is this design, has been in my head for more than 3 years. And now I finally do my own graphic design which means I’ve come completely full circle in this. It was originally supposed to be a tattoo for myself and probably still will be but it’s super important to me as are my other two tattoos I have. The bands that shaped my 20s continue to be the cardinal directions I follow in life. They haven’t steered me wrong, so I think I’ll keep hanging on this train for a while longer.
